आंध्र प्रदेश सरकार ने राज्य में पर्यटन गतिविधियों को इस महीने से फिर से शुरू करने का फैसला किया है। कोविड-19 के कारण पर्यटन गतिविधियों के ठप होने से सरकार को खासा राजस्व नुकसान उठाना पड़ रहा है। इसीलिए राज्य सरकार नई पर्यटन नीति भी जारी कर रही है। इसी दिशा में पहला कदम बढ़ाते हुए राज्य सरकार ने केंद्र सरकार द्वारा जारी किए गए अनलॉक 3.0 दिशानिर्देशों के अनुरूप अंतर-राज्यीय आवागमन को और उदार बना दिया है। हालांकि उसने अपनी सीमाएं पूरी तरह से तो नहीं खोली हैं, लेकिन आंध्र प्रदेश में आने वाले लोगों को अब कल यानी 2 अगस्त से एंट्री पास के लिए केवल अपना विवरण राज्य सरकार के स्पंदना पोर्टल (spandana.ap.gov.in) पर दर्ज कराना होगा। राज्य के प्रमुख सचिव (परिवहन) एम.टी. कृष्णा बाबू के अनुसार ई-पास ऑटो जेनरेटेड होगा और इसे लोगों के मोबाइल व ई-मेल पर भेज दिया जाएगा, जिसे किसी वैध पहचान पत्र के साथ सी...

Tiger population in India increasing 6% every year

India’s efforts at tiger conservation received a major boost with the latest census report showing a heartening increase in numbers. The Status of Tigers in India-2018 report by the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) and Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun, released on Monday showed that the adult tiger population in India currently stands at 2,967. This represents a 33% increase over the 2014 figures which stood at 2,226. Tiger occupancy has increased in the state of Madhya Pradesh, which ranks highest in tiger population along with Karnataka. India is now estimated to be home to around 70% of the world's tigers. The fourth cycle of National tiger status assessment of 2018-19 covered 381,400 km of forested habitats in 20 states of India.
