Royal Caribbean to go ahead with Singapore cruise, while suspending most other

Cruise operator Royal Caribbean Group has said that it would stop all its cruises, excluding sailings from Singapore, through the end of the year, extending previous suspensions as coronavirus infections continue to increase globally. The company's announcement comes days after the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued a framework for a phased resumption of cruise ship operations, after a no-sail order issued in March in response to the COVID-19 pandemic expired on Saturday. Malindo Air retrenchment plan stands to affect 2,600 employees

Malaysia-based carrier Malindo Air has launched a retrenchment exercise ranging from termination to a year’s unpaid leave for 2,647 employees, the human resources ministry said on Wednesday, as the coronavirus pandemic batters the aviation industry. Reeling from a slump in demand in the wake of travel curbs, the Malaysian arm of Indonesia’s Lion Air had already ordered a 50% pay cut and unpaid leave for staff in March. “The ministry... has conducted discussions with Malindo Air’s management on Nov. 3 to ensure the rights of the affected workers are protected and appropriate assistance is given,” said Human Resources Minister M. Gujarat gets its first seaplane service

You can now travel on a seaplane between the Statue of Unity near Kevadiya in Gujarat's Narmada district and Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad. This is the first ever seaplane service for Gujarat and was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday. The twin-engine plane covers a distance of around 200 kms in 40 minutes. The journey by road to cover this distance takes around five hours.
