Padmanabhswamy Temple to be managed by ex-royal family of Travancore, says SC

Supreme Court on Monday upheld the rights of the erstwhile royal family of Travancore in the administration and management of Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The temple came into limelight as one of the richest temples in the country after the discovery of wealth locked in 'kallaras' (vaults) for centuries. Today’s verdict by a two judge bench of Justices U U Lalit and Indu Malhotra has now put an end to a nine year old legal battle. 700 tourists come to Himachal in five days

Around 700 tourists from various parts of country have visited Himachal Pradesh in the first five days of the last week. On Saturday 4th July state government had allowed entry of tourists into the state with certain conditions pertaining to COVID-19 health protocol. Giving the details state government has asked tourists to follow the standard operating procedures (SOPs) to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Interestingly, majority of hotels owners and their associations in Himachal Pradesh were initially against the idea of opening hotels for tourists from other states fearing they might be carriers of coronavirus.
