The Union Ministry of Tourism has announced that the state's Pranpur, Sabarvani, and Ladpura Khas have been declared the best tourism villages in the country. Pranpur has been selected in the craft category, while Sabarvani and Ladpura Khas have been recognized for responsible tourism. These villages were honoured at a ceremony in New Delhi on September 27th, which coincides with World Tourism Day. ITC Hotels to manage MP’s heritage destination – ‘Lunera Ki Sarai’ in Mandu

ITC Hotels recently signed a management agreement with with Bhopal based Lunera Castle Resort & Spa, for a landmark property under brand Welcomhotel in Mandu, Madhya Pradesh. Welcomhotel Mandu - the refreshed avatar of the heritage destination ‘Lunera ki Sarai’ pays tribute to the ancient fort city of Mandu celebrated for its architecture. With this signing, ITC’s Hotel Group will have nearly 540 keys in Madhya Pradesh. This includes two operating WelcomHeritage properties in Pench, Pachmarhi and three Welcomhotels in pipeline at Jabalpur, Gwalior and Bhopal. अंतर्राष्ट्रीय बाघ दिवस 29 जुलाई पर विशेषः वन विभाग के साथ मिलकर सॉफ्ट एडवेंचर गतिविधियां संचालित करेगा टूरिज्म बोर्ड, अनुभव आधारित पर्यटन पर रहेगा जोर 'टाइगर स्टेट' के नाम से प्रसिद्ध मध्यप्रदेश बाघों की आबादी और संरक्षण के लिए जाना जाता है। 2022 की जनगणना के अनुसार मध्यप्रदेश में 785 बाघ मौजूद है, जो देश में सबसे ज्यादा है। इसमें 563 बाघ टाइगर रिजर्व में मौजूद हैं और 222 बाघ अभयारण्य और टाइगर रिजर्व (संरक्षित क्षेत्र) से बाहर है। जुलाई से सितंबर माह तक टाइगर सफारी बंद होने से टाइगर रिजर्व में पर्य़टन गतिविधियां कम हो जाती है, जिससे स्थानीय समुदाय, होटल संचालक और पर्य़टन से जुड़े तमाम लोग प्रभावित होते है। इसी तथ्य को देखते हुए मध्य प्रदेश टूरिज्म बोर्ड राज्य वन विभाग और स्थानीय जिला प्रशासन के साथ मिलकर पर्यटकों के अनुभव को बढ़ाने के लिए बफर जोन में जंगल सफारी, नेचर वॉक, ट्र...

प्री-कोविड संख्या को किया पार, उज्जैन में सबसे ज्यादा 5 करोड़ 28 लाख पर्यटक आए ऐतिहासिक धरोहरों, गौरवशाली इतिहास, प्राकृतिक सौंदर्य, विविध वन्यजीव और आध्यात्मिक अनुभव के लिए देश-दुनिया में प्रख्यात मध्यप्रदेश ने साल 2023 में 11 करोड़ से ज्यादा पर्यटकों का स्वागत किया, जो अब तक का रिकॉर्ड है। जनवरी 2023 से दिसंबर 2023 तक राज्य में 11 करोड़ 21 लाख पर्यटक पहुंचे, जिनमें विदेशी पर्यटकों की संख्या 1 लाख 83 हजार रही। 2019 में कोविड प्रतिबंध लागू होने से पहले कुल 8,90,35,097 पर्यटकों का आगमन हुआ था। 2022 में पर्यटकों की संख्या 3,41,38,757 रही थी। प्रदेश में सबसे ज्यादा पर्यटक उज्जैन पहुंचे, जिनकी संख्या 5 करोड़ 28 लाख से ज्यादा रही। प्रदेश के सर्वश्रेष्ट 10 में से पांच डेस्टिनेशन धार्मिक स्थल हैं। उल्लेखनीय है कि 24 मई को मध्यप्रदेश राज्य पर्यटन विकास निगम (MPSTDC) का स्थापना दिवस है, इसी ...
