In Alaska’s annual battle of heavyweights, a salmon-chomping bruin named 747 – like the jetliner – has emerged as the most fabulously fat. The bear, one of more than 2,200 brown bears roaming Alaska’s Katmai National Park and Preserve, was victorious on Tuesday after a week of frenzied online voting in what has become an international sensation: Fat Bear Week. Disney to lay off about 28,000 employees

Walt Disney Co said on Tuesday it will lay off roughly 28,000 employees, mostly at its U.S. theme parks, where attendance has been crushed by the coronavirus pandemic, especially in California where Disneyland remains closed. About two-thirds of the laid-off employees will be part-time workers, the company said in a statement. Disney shut its theme parks worldwide when the novel coronavirus began spreading this year. गुफाएं हमेशा एक रहस्य का आवरण ओढ़े रहती हैं, लोगों की जिज्ञासा को नई उड़ान देती हैं। गुफाएं पहले भी लोगों को आसरा देती थीं, अब भी दे रही हैं। लेकिन अब उसमें जरूरत नहीं घुमक्कड़ी प्रमुख है हमने पहले तुर्की में कैपाडोकिया की गुफाओं में बने आलीशान होटलों का जिक्र किया था। इस बार हम कैपाडोकिया की गुफाओं से बाहर आकर एक दूसरी गुफा में घुस गए हैं। यह गुफा दक्षिण पश्चिम अमेरिका के न्यू मैक्सिको में फार्मिंगटन के निकट स्थित है। गुफा जमीन की सतह से सत्तर फुट भीतर है लेकिन ला प्लाता नदी से लगभग 280 फुट ऊपर। है न मजेदार बात। दरअसल यह गुफा एक पहाड़ी के भीतर है। लेकिन यहां हम गुफा की बात नहीं कर रहे हैं बल्कि गुफा में बनाए गए छोटे से होटल की बात कर रहे हैं। इसे कोकोपेल्लीज केव बेड एंड ब्रेकफास्ट कहा जाता है। लेकिन बाकी तमाम गुफाओं की तरह यह गुफा प्राकृतिक नहीं है, बल्कि बनाई गई है। मूल रूप से...
