कुल्लू-मनाली और लाहौल-स्पीति घाटियों के लिए सबसे निकट के हवाई अड्डे भुंतर के लिए 16 जुलाई से विमान सेवाएं बहाल कर दी जाएंगी। एयर इंडिया की एलायंस एयर का विमान बृहस्पतिवार से सप्ताह में तीन दिन दिल्ली से भुंतर और फिर वापसी की उड़ान भरेगा। कोविड-19 महामारी के कारण देश में विमान सेवाएं भी स्थगित कर दी गई थीं। बाकी कई शहरों के बीच तो उड़ानें मई के अंत में शुरू हो गई थीं। भुंतर के लिए अब सेवाएं शुरू की जा रही हैं। हिमाचल प्रदेश सरकार ने इस महीने के शुरू में राज्य में देश के बाकी हिस्सों से सैलानियों के आने की इजाजत दे दी थी। राज्य के दूसरे हवाई अड्डे, कांगड़ा घाटी में धर्मशाला के निकट गग्गल के लिए उड़ानें मई के आखिरी सप्ताह में शुरू हो गई थीं लेकिन तब केवल हिमाचल निवासियों को ही हवाई सेवा के इस्तेमाल की इजाजत दी गई थी। अब भुंतर में हवाई जहाज से आने वाले यात्रियों के लिए भी उसी स्वास्थ्य प्रोटो...

A day after Srinagar was again put on a partial lockdown due to surge in COVID-19 cases, Jammu and Kashmir administration announced that they are opening the Union Territory for the tourists from July 14, albeit only for those coming in through flight. That means, road entry points will remain closed. The administration has formulated a set of guidelines for tourists. The authorities maintained that tourism will be limited to those travelling by air. The officials have also necessitated RT-PCR (real-time polymerase chain reaction) testing for tourists. 700 tourists come to Himachal in five days

Around 700 tourists from various parts of country have visited Himachal Pradesh in the first five days of the last week. On Saturday 4th July state government had allowed entry of tourists into the state with certain conditions pertaining to COVID-19 health protocol. Giving the details state government has asked tourists to follow the standard operating procedures (SOPs) to prevent the spread of coronavirus. The fourth cycle of the All India Tiger Estimation 2018, has entered the Guinness World Record for being the world’s largest camera trap wildlife survey. The citation at the Guinness World Record website reads- “The fourth iteration of the survey – conducted in 2018-19 - was the most comprehensive to date, in terms of both resource and data amassed. Camera traps (outdoor photographic devices fitted with motion sensors that start recording when an animal passes by) were placed in 26,838 locations across 141 different sites and surveyed an effective area of 121,337 square kilometres (46,848 square miles).
