Wonderla breaks ground for its 5th amusement park in India

Wonderla Holidays Ltd, India's largest amusement park chain, celebrated the ground-breaking ceremony of its 5th proposed park in Orissa. After announcing this Project's onset in June 2022, Wonderla has announced that the 125-crore Project will be completed by 2025. The Groundbreaking ceremony of the Project was carried out by the Honorable Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik, recently in the presence of the State Tourism Minister and other major industry leaders. Wonderla Holidays has carried out a lease mode with the Govt. for an allotted land of 50.63 acres at Kumbarabasta, Khordha, for a period of 90 years. Maharashtra allows water sports, amusement parks to resume

The Maharashtra government has allowed water sports as well as activities like boating and entertainment/amusement parks to resume as part of phase-wise easing of lockdown restrictions in the state. A government circular, dated December 21, said all norms of social distancing and precautions to check the spread of COVID-19 will have to be followed during these activities. It said water sports and other activities like boating will be allowed outside the COVID-19 containment zones.
