In 2026, the Revolution Express will return to the rails, marking the revival of one of Vietnam’s most evocative heritage journeys. This historic steam train once symbolised connection, craftsmanship, and the spirit of travel, and soon, it will do so again.
The route
The Revolution Express offers daily journeys between Danang and Hue, passing over the iconic Hai Van Pass, alongside the serene blue-water fishing lagoons of Lang Co and through the dramatic mountain-ringed landscapes of Central Vietnam. This iconic route unfolds at a graceful pace, revealing sweeping sea views, mountain contours, and historic lands that have long inspired poets and travellers alike, transforming the rail journey itself into a destination.
Journey Schedule
During its soft-opening in the second half of 2026, on offer will be daily one-way slow heritage steam train journeys between beautifully appointed private rail stations in Danang and Hue, with a relaxing lunch stop and optional short local excursions from landmark Lang Co station. For those guests on a tighter schedule or budget, there are options to book half-day train journeys to and from Lang Co station.
Following this initial introductory period, the addition of further daily return options will give greater booking flexibility while maintaining the exclusivity and attention to detail that define the experience.
