Visama Mae Chan luxury tented camp in Chiang Rai, northern Thailand, has announced special new promotions including offers for the Songkran water festival period, family summer packages, and a simple one-night bed and breakfast rate.
The exclusive 10-room five-star service tented camp, which opened in December, occupies a scenic location in a five-hectare teak wood forest grove in the hills above Mae Chan town, a 40-minute drive from Chiang Rai airport.

Full of value-added features, the Songkran Bliss packages are 4D/3N or 3D/2N and include roundtrip airport transfers from Chiang Rai airport, daily breakfast and dinner, on-call butler service, one signature excursion per stay, 20% off food and drink, one in-house activity per stay for two, and a movie night at the Ambalama fire pit and social gathering area.
Summer Escape – for all families
The tented camp has created Family Summer Escape options of 3D/2N or 4D/3N, valid until 30 September, staying in the spacious (80 sqm) two-bedroom suite Visama Lisu tent. There are many inclusions such as roundtrip airport transfers, daily breakfast and dinner, on-call butler service, 20% off food and drinks, one excursion per stay, an in-house activity such as hiking, biking, archery or tree planting, plus movie night, a welcome drink and snacks. The package is suitable for families with two children up to 12 years old.
Tent & Visama Breakfast one-night stay
Guests seeking fewer inclusive services can choose the simple Visama Mae Chan Tent & Visama Breakfast at US$232 (THB8,500) net per tent per night (for up to two people). The rate includes Visama signature breakfast for two, on-call butler service, 20% off food and drinks, a welcome drink and snacks on arrival, and free-flow in-tent mini bar drinks (non alcoholic), and teas and coffees.
Amenities in all tents include air conditioning, WiFi, mobile phone with concierge app, a selection of herbal teas, French press coffee pots, rain showers, safety deposit box, refrigerator minibar, his and her bathrobes and slippers, bathtub, large balconies and an evening turndown service. Guests can choose to plant a tree to support local reforestation efforts by Visama. Proceeds go to a local charity.
