Celebrations’ across select hotels, guided by its ESG+ framework, Paathya

Guided by Paathya, its ESG+ framework, Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has announced the HeritEdge Celebrations across select hotels to mark World Heritage Day. Rooted in IHCL’s philosophy of responsible tourism, the two‑day initiative brings focus to India’s Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Gaurav Pokhariyal, Executive Vice President – Human Resources, IHCL, said, “India’s Intangible Cultural Heritage is anchored in its people, the communities and master artisans who sustain these living traditions across generations. Guided by Paathya, HeritEdge translates responsibility into action by enabling livelihoods, empowering local communities and curating immersive experiences for our guests that create a deeper connection to the heart and soul of India.

As custodians of India’s living traditions, IHCL’s HeritEdge Celebration aims to amplify the country’s rich cultural intangible heritage through initiatives that support local artisans and our unique traditions that have passed down through generations. On April 17-18, 2026, participating hotels will curate region‑specific experiences like a culinary class for employees and guests focusing on lost local recipes at Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur, guided heritage walks across Goa’s historic churches at Taj Exotica Resort and Spa, Goa and sessions on cultural heritage at Rambagh Palace, Jaipur. Guests can engage in craft workshops at Taj Sawai Ranthambore, a local food festival at Taj Santacruz, Mumbai, or experience holistic wellness through yoga and Vedic chanting at Taj Rishikesh Resort & Spa, Uttarakhand.

In line with Paathya, participating hotels will also offer interactive storytelling sessions for children, house a Heritage Haul pop-up to support and empower local artisans from their regions such as Bandhani and Rogan art from Gujarat, block printing from Rajasthan and Tanjore paintings from Tamil Nadu and host evenings of traditional performances.
