For the first time ever, the legendary Jaipur Literature Festival is coming to the Maldives. A partnership between Soneva and Festival organisers, Teamwork Arts, JLF Soneva Fushi is bringing some of the world’s top authors, cultural leaders and thought-provoking speakers to the white sands of Soneva Fushi. Festival is being held from May 13–22, 2022.
Spread over 10 days and two weekends, events will be held at stunning locations across the island, celebrating the theme of ‘Slow Life’, including topics as varied as travel, fiction, food, art, wellness, climate change and the environment. The Festival will welcome a line-up of world-renowned authors, fascinating workshops, music, art and culture.

The line-up of eminent speakers at JLF Soneva Fushi includes global award-winning filmmakers, poets and writers, multiple The New York Times-bestselling authors, successful diplomats and politicians, and world-renowned figures from art, culture and literature.
A long-awaited opportunity will be there to reconnect with the joys of literature, art and live music, and the line-up includes Mira Nair, André Aciman, Elif Shafak, B.N. Goswamy, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Mahmood Mamdani and Huma Abedin. You can engage with stimulating conversation and debate through eclectic themes that touch on everything from fiction, food and travel to art, wellness and climate change, and a vibrant programme of gala dinners, keynote addresses, poetry cruises, intimate author sessions, insightful workshops and film-screenings at Cinema Paradiso.

Soneva Fushi is located on the private island of Kunfunadhoo in the Baa Atoll, a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve in the Maldives. At 1,400 by 400 metres, it is one of the Maldives’ largest island resorts.

How to Reach
There are two ways to reach Soneva Fushi from Malé: a seaplane from Malé International Airport direct to Soneva Fushi (recommended), or a domestic flight from Malé International Airport to Dharavandhoo Airport, followed by a 12-minute speedboat ride to Soneva Fushi. Both flights take approximately 30 to 40 minutes, however the prices are different. The seaplane only operates during the day, with the last flight leaving at 17H00. The last domestic flight to Dharavandhoo Airport is at 23H15.
