India is among the last two countries among the G-20 nations in terms of recovery in travel and entertainment consumer spending and it is a strong indication of how far we are from pulling out our travel sector from the current huge mess. As per Mastercard recovery insights for month of July 2020, India is on the 19th position in the elite group achieving a level of less than even 20 percent of July 2019 level. South Korea is last among the 20 nations with just about 16 percent recovery in spending, in comparison to a year earlier.
