Targeting the growing market opportunity of regional India

SOTC Travel launches website in three regional langua​​ges

In a strategic initiative to target the high potential market of Regional India-Bharat, and cater to the evolving digital savvy language segments, SOTC Travel, a leading omnichannel Travel and Tourism Company launched its website in three regional languages – Hindi, Gujarati and Tamil, in addition to English. This initiative enables the Company to enhance its regional connect by offering customers their language of choice as a content interface for its range of products and services.

The Company’s recent India Holiday Report – May 2023, indicates that 60% of its customers from India’s tier 2-3 markets are displaying significant travel desire. Strong travel intent, high disposable income, combined with aspirational value of holidays emerging from Regional India is contributing to a noteworthy 35% of SOTC’s holiday business, thus making these markets key growth drivers for the Company. The launch of SOTC’s website in three key regional languages hence intends to reach out to this rapidly growing market.

Based on unique preferences from its customers from Regional India, SOTC Travel has curated a wide range of holidays/special departures to match such requirements. For instance, local food preferences are a key requirement for Gujarati customers, hence the Company has launched ‘Gurjar Vishwadarshan holidays’ – that offer vegetarian and Gujarati meals across key destinations like Europe, South East Asia and other destinations.
