The latest hotlist of must-visit destinations, bars and restaurants has landed

500 new venues added to 50 Best Discovery platform, include venues from more than 260 cities and towns across 80+ destinations globally

50 Best announces the addition of more than 500 new venues to its 50 Best Discovery platform, highlighting a broad range of venues across the globe. The new additions feature more than 240 restaurants, 100 bars and 170 hotels in 260+ cities and towns worldwide. With this latest update, 50 Best Discovery now features 3,700+ hospitality establishments from across the globe, each selected after receiving a certain number of votes from the expert voting Academies that create 50 Best’s world-leading global and regional lists.

A highly curated digital guide, 50 Best Discovery is the ultimate reference tool for discerning travellers, diners and cocktail-lovers. A combination of more than 3,000 Academy members – who are experts in their local restaurant, bar and hotel scenes – vote for the venues that feature on the platform. They are not voting specifically for 50 Best Discovery, simply for their best restaurant, bar or hotel experiences, and then the lists and consequently the wider 50 Best Discovery database, are born from these votes. This means those following 50 Best Discovery are being guided by the world’s foremost restaurant, bar and travel connoisseurs. 50 Best Discovery operates as an extension of the annual 50 best rankings of restaurants, bars and hotels, though is not itself a ranking.

The latest update incorporates venues from more 100 new cities worldwide, showcasing the growing strength of the hospitality sector. The expanding presence of 50 Best Discovery reinforces its position as the leading global reference point for exceptional hospitality experiences globally.

Of the latest venues to be added to 50 Best Discovery, international highlights include:

• Bhutan features on the platform for the first time, with the addition of the hotels andbeyond Punakha River Lodge, Punakha and Gangtey Lodge Bhutan, Gantey

• USA increases its presence on the platform with 64 additional venues and 14 new cities represented including Big Sur, with the hotel Post Ranch Inn, and St. Louis, with bar The Gin Room added to the platform

• Versailles, France features on the platform for the first time with the addition of the hotel Airelles Contrôle de Versailles, Le Grand Contrôle. Lyon bar Abstract Bistrot and restaurant La Brasserie Georges are also new additions this year

• Madagascar is newly represented on the list, with hotel Miavana in Diego Suarez included

• Santo Domingo is the first city from Dominican Republic included on the platform, with the addition of restaurants Ajualä and MoriSoñando

• French Polynesia is newly showcased on the platform via hotel The Brando in Tetiaroa

• Croatia’s inclusion on the platform is increased, including bars in two new cities: Peaches & Cream in Zagreb and Bar Sistema and String’s Cocktail Bar in Split

• 30 new venues from the United Arab Emirates feature, including hotel Mövenpick Resort Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khamiah – the first time the city has appeared

• Hotels from two new cities in Sri Lanka were introduced in the latest upload; Amanwella in Tangalle and Wild Coast Tented Lodge in Yala

• Nicaragua is included on the platform for the first time with the addition of restaurant NM Culinary in Granada

Of the latest venues to be added to 50 Best Discovery, venue highlights in Asia include:

1. 113 venues from across Asia uploaded to the platform, including 43 restaurants, 21 bars and 49 hotels
2. Venues from 47 cities added, including 14 new cities
3. 12 venues in Tokyo were included in the upload, including six new hotels
4. Phuket, Thailand has two new restaurants on the platform: Hom and Jampa
5. Five new cities in India are included on 50 Best Discovery for the first time, including Bangalore, Jaipur and Rajasthan
6. Hong Kong has two new bars on the platform, with The Savory Project and Bar Leone, The Best Bar in Asia as part of Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2024
7. Four new restaurants in Singapore were uploaded, including Pangium and Keng Eng Kee
8. South Korea is represented by six new venues, including two hotels in Seoul: Four Seasons Seoul and Josun Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Seoul Gangnam
9. Three new cities in Sri Lanka are included on the platform, Ahangama, Tangalle and Yala
10. Vietnam has two new restaurants, with Gia in Hanoi and Sushi Rei in Ho Chi Minh City
11. Hangzhou in China added an additional venue to the platform with restaurant Ru Yuan
12. Hotel Shinta Mani Wild in Cambodia was included in the upload
13. Bhutan features on the platform for the first time, with the addition of the hotels and beyond Punakha River Lodge in Punakha and Gangtey Lodge Bhutan in Gantey
14. Luang Prabang in Laos saw two new hotels added: Amantaka and Rosewood Luang Prabang
15. Three restaurants in Macau were incorporated: Chef Tam’s Seasons at Wynn Palace, Don Alfonso and Palace Garden
16. Nay Palad Hideaway, a hotel in Siargao, Philippines was added to the platform
17. Taipei had two new restaurants added: Restaurant A and Zea
18. Restaurant Beta KL in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is also a new addition
19. Bali in Indonesia had five new hotels incorporated, including Amankila and Como Shambhala Estate
