The event transformed an ordinary evening into a dynamic celebration of all things German. With an engaging atmosphere enriched by German music, delectable food, and delightful drinks, the occasion captivated the audience by immersing them in the heart of Germany’s cultural and culinary diversity. The event also cast a spotlight on Berlin’s upcoming attractions, while highlighting themes of UNESCO heritage sites, nature, and sustainability.

Keeping in mind its responsibility towards the environment against the backdrop of the existential threat posed by climate change, the German National Tourist office espouses a travel experience which is longer and nestled in pristine natural surroundings where a tourist can feel the energy of different landscapes, stroll through authentic markets and experience true relaxation.   

Germany’s cultural treasures include 51 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the influential Bauhaus School sites in Weimar and Dessau. The Cologne Cathedral, a remarkable Gothic masterpiece with a 632-year construction span, adds to the nation’s heritage. Kassel’s Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe features the Hercules monument and captivating water features. The Wadden Sea ranks as the world’s largest uninterrupted system of intertidal sand and mud flats and is home to diverse marine life.

Berlin, the capital of Germany and its largest city, offers tourists many reasons to soak in historical surroundings and also enjoy modern facilities. The fall of the Berlin Wall on 9 November 1989 was one of the most important events in recent history. It marked the end of the division of Berlin – and the entire world – into East and West and saw the end of the Cold War that had lasted for decades. At the same time, the fall of the Wall was also the starting point for reunification just under a year later. In 2024, Berlin celebrates the 35th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. A whole series of events and ceremonial events with high-ranking international guests are planned to celebrate the anniversary in a way that befits the occasion.

Another captivating reason to visit Germany next year is the UEFA Euro 2024, which will see the top countries in Europe for the biggest prize in continental football. There are a total of ten venues throughout Germany and among them, Berlin bears a special significance. In addition to three group matches and one round of 16 and one quarter-final, the Olympic Stadium will also be the venue for the title clash. Berlin is regarded as not only a place to watch football, but also a place to celebrate and UEFA Euro 2024 will see numerous events which will elevate the experience of a passionate football fan.
