It is just a 134 kms ride but has got all the thrills – from fascinating views of Panchachuli peaks to riding along the Gauri river for a major part, not to mention the winding roads passing through hues of dense green below and sparkling blue above. The road from Birthi (waterfalls) to Dharchula is generally less taken by tourists. Isn’t the best of the roads but has one of the best of the views. Route takes you from Birthi to Munsiyari via Kalamuni top (Alt: 9,5000 ft) and then from Munsiyari to Jauljibi. From Jauljibi one can take Lipulekh highway to reach Dharchula or turn towards Pithoragarh to reach Almora and Haldwani. So, come join me on this short but beautiful biking trip.
महज़ 134 किलोमीटर का यह सफ़र बेहद शानदार है। इसमें सारे रोमांच हैं- पंचाचूली चोटियों के नज़ारे से लेकर गौरी नदी के किनारे-किनारे चलने तक… साथ में घने जंगलों से होकर गुजरता सर्पीला रास्ता। बिरथी वाटरफॉल्स से धारचूला के रास्ते पर सैलानी कम ही जाते हैं। सड़क बहुत शानदार नहीं लेकिन रास्ता बहुत खूबसूरत है। बिरथी से चलकर आप पहले 9,500 फुट की ऊँचाई पर स्थित कालामुनी टॉप पहुँचते हैं औऱ फिर उस पार मुनस्यारी। मुनस्यारी से आप जौलजीबी पहुँचते हैं। जौलजीबी से आप लिपुलेख जाने वाले राजमार्ग पर धारचुला की तरफ मुड़ सकते हैं या अल्मोड़ा व हल्द्वानी जाने के लिए पिथौरागढ़ की तरफ़ मुड़ सकते हैं। तो आइए मेरे साथ इस छोटी सी बाइकिंग ट्रिप पर…
