Anantara Villa Padierna recognised in inaugural Michelin Key guide in Spain

A beloved holiday destination in Costa del Sol in Spain, Anantara Villa Padierna Palace Benahavís Marbella Resort has been honoured with a Michelin Key at the inaugural awards ceremony for Spain. Echoing the renowned Michelin Stars for restaurants, the Michelin Keys guide directs discerning travellers to exceptional hotel experiences.

With only 97 properties in Spain receiving the distinction, the award acknowledges Anantara Villa Padierna’s unwavering commitment to delivering unparalleled service and an exceptional guest experience. The Michelin Keys are conferred following anonymous evaluations by the guide’s seasoned inspectors, independent of any existing classifications or ratings. Since its inception in April of this year, the keys have rapidly established themselves as an international benchmark, guiding travellers to hotels that stand out for their distinctive concept, personality and exemplary service standards.

“Being awarded a Michelin Key is a testament to Anantara Villa Padierna’s dedication to excellence in hospitality. For 124 years, the Michelin Guide has been directing travellers to the finest experiences, and we are excited for the resort to be part of this new chapter. Our inclusion in this esteemed list is an honour and a reflection of the unforgettable experiences we provide to our guests.”

– Jorge Manzur, General Manager of Anantara Villa Padierna

A member of The Leading Hotels of the World, Virtuoso and AMEX Fine Hotels & Resorts, Anantara Villa Padierna is nestled between Marbella, Benahavís and Estepona in the south of Spain, offering unrivalled access to sandy beaches, world-class culture and shopping in Málaga, and numerous golf courses, diving and sailing spots nearby. When it comes to dining, holidaymakers are spoiled for choice with ten diverse venues offering memorable culinary experiences that range from Japanese fusion and authentic Lebanese to Mediterranean haute cuisine at La Veranda and local Andalusian fare at La Loggia. Guests can also sample mouth-watering tapas in neighbouring towns or accompany an Anantara chef to a local market to source produce for a private cooking class at the hotel.

Nestled among hills dotted with jacaranda and cypress trees, Anantara Villa Padierna Palace is surrounded by the Costa del Sol coastline. A member of The Leading Hotels of the World, this palatial hotel enjoys a unique location, away from bustling towns of Marbella and Puerto Banús, yet close enough for guests to enjoy both.

This “museum hotel” showcases 1,200 works of art in the resort’s 125 rooms, suites and villas with pool, all surrounded by three golf courses, three minutes from the beach and private beach club. The resort has a kids’ club, tennis and padel tennis club and one of the best Spas in Spain with 2,000 sqm of Roman baths. Andalusian gastronomy inspires an excellent culinary experience, served in different areas of the resort and including Japanese or Mediterranean haute cuisine among its gastronomic offerings.
