Kalaripayattu is considered to be one of the oldest martial art forms in world. Originated in Kerala, this is also the most scientific battlefield arts, This art form includes Chatham (jumping), attam (running) and marichil (somersault). It also uses traditional weapons like swords, daggers, spears, maces and bows & arrows. This art reflects ultimate coordination between mind and body. It also focuses on indigenous medicinal practices.
