TripAdvisor names top destinations for City Lovers across the world
Big, booming and glittering cities are always the big-ticket destinations favoured by the travellers. Either for their connectivity, or for their natural charm or history or architectural beauty, there are many draws. You will be fascinated to know that there are four Indian cities- Delhi, Jaipur, Udaipur and Mumbai among the top 25 cities loved by travelers as selected by the popular travel review site TripAdvisor in its latest Travelers’ Choice list.
In the list headed by all favourite Dubai, India is the only country with four cities, while Italy has three and UK, Spain and UAE have two each. 12 other countries have one of their cities in the list. This list is for 2022 and keeps changing every year with new found love among travelers.

1. Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Dubai is a destination that mixes modern culture with history, adventure with world-class shopping and entertainment. Catch a show at the Dubai Opera, see downtown from atop the Burj Khalifa and spend an afternoon along Dubai Creek exploring the gold, textile and spice souks. The Singapore cityscape looks like it was ripped from the pages of a science fiction comic book. 12. Edinburgh, United Kingdom
Edinburgh is Scotland’s capital city, renowned for its heritage, culture and festivals. Tracing its rich history back to around 3000 B.C., Abu Dhabi maintains a more distinctly Arabian ambiance than glitzy Dubai. Udaipur, known as the Venice of the East, boasts several sparkling lakes against a backdrop of the Aravail hills. Famous palaces include the magical Lake Palace, now a luxurious five-star hotel, and the massive City Palace on Pichola’s east bank, featuring epic courtyards and stunning paintings.
24. Athens, Greece
Once known for smog, traffic and tacky architecture, Athens is a city reformed thanks to fortunes brought by the 2004 Summer Olympics.
