Three people were dramatically rescued from Kali river in Dharchula, Uttarakhand on Wednesday afternoon when they were left trapped in raging water of the river. After two days of heavy rains, when the weather got clear on Wednesday, these three went to the river in the morning to collect stones when water level had gone down. But when they were busy collecting stones, water level increased suddenly and they were left marooned. Though water wasn’t too deep, but the flow was so intense that it was impossible for anyone to go across. Water kept on increasing and they took shelter on big rocks and stones in the middle of the river. Since the spot was not far away from the SSB post monitoring the Indo-Nepal border bridge, help reached immediately and a rescue effort was launched. उत्तराखंड के धारचूला में बुधवार को उफनती काली नदी से तीन लोगों को बचाया गया। दो दिन की भीषण बारिश के बाद बुधवार को मौसम साफ़ हुआ तो ये तीनों सवेरे काली नदी से पत्थर इकट्ठा करने गए थे। उस समय पानी उतरा हुआ था। लेकिन जब ये पत्थर इकट्ठा करने में व्यस्त थे तो ऊपर से तेज़ी से पानी नदी में आया और वे उफनती नदी में घिर गए। पानी ज़्यादा गहरा तो नहीं था लेकिन बहाव इतना तेज़ था कि उसमें किसी का भी उसमें ठहर पाना नामुमकिन था। चढ़ते पानी के बीच इन तीनों ने नदी के बीच में बड़ी चट्टानों और पत्थर पर शरण ली। चूँकि उस जगह से भारत-नेपाल सीमा पुल की निगरानी करने वाले सशस्त्र सीमा बल (एसएसबी) की चौकी नज़दीक ही थी, तुरंत ही बचाव अभियान शुरू किया गया। उन्हें किस तरह से बचाया गया, यह अंत तक पूरे वीडियो में देखें।
